Each column showed a different video feed. Leo leaned in, his coffee growing cold. Feed 1: a man sleeping. Feed 7: an empty playground in the rain. Feed 12: a woman typing on a laptop— his laptop. He saw the back of his own head from a camera angle that shouldn’t exist.

But sometimes, at 3:39 AM, his smart TV turns on by itself.

He watched himself walk through the door, toss his keys on the table, and sit down at the computer.

But then the Leo on-screen didn’t sit down. He walked over to the current Leo’s chair, leaned close to the camera, and whispered four words:

Then his monitor split into 39 vertical columns.

The 39 feeds merged into one. There was his front door. The timestamp read 3:40 AM… but his wall clock said 3:41 AM. One minute ago.

No screenshots. No descriptions. Just that. Feed 7: an empty playground in the rain

Leo found it at 3:39 AM. That should have been his first warning.
