I picked up the TexGuide Region 7 for a recent road trip through the Texas Panhandle and South Plains, and overall, it was a solid companion. The maps are clear and detailed, especially for the smaller farm-to-market roads that GPS often misses. I particularly appreciated the mileage charts and the listings for truck stops, cafés, and motels in towns like Amarillo, Lubbock, and Childress.

That said, a few restaurant and fuel stop recommendations seemed a couple of years out of date — two places I tried had closed. The binding also feels a bit stiff, making it hard to keep open on the passenger seat.
