If Windows fails to load it, run Windows Update (optional updates often include legacy camera drivers). Only resort to chipset drivers (Sonix/Empia) if you are using Windows XP or Vista.
If the camera still doesn't work, the hardware may be faulty—common for this model after many years. A new basic 1080p webcam costs very little and will work instantly.
