Anyone else deal with this? How do you balance love and respect when your parent won’t see you as an adult — even in the squat rack?
Then she tried to fix my ponytail mid-set. And reminded me to “be careful on the big kid equipment.”
At first, it drove me crazy. But then I realized – this is her way of caring. She’s been cheering me on since I was wobbling on a tricycle. Now she’s just swapping the tricycle for a treadmill.
I’m 28.
But you know what? She never misses a workout. And neither do I. So maybe being her little gym goblin isn’t so bad. 🏋️♀️👩👧
