This study uses a mixed-methods approach to examine the impact of online piracy on the entertainment industry. The study consists of two parts: (1) a survey of consumers who downloaded the "Mithya" web series on Tamilrockers, and (2) an analysis of the financial data of the production house that produced the series.
The survey results show that the majority of respondents (70%) were between the ages of 18 and 30, and that they were primarily students and young professionals.
