The Huawei MediaPad T3 10 (model BG2-W09) is a budget Android tablet released in 2017, running Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Huawei’s EMUI 5.1. Due to its low-end Spreadtrum (Unisoc) SC9830I SoC and locked bootloader, aftermarket development has been minimal. This paper examines the technical barriers and potential pathways for creating a custom ROM (e.g., LineageOS) for this device.
