In Taipei, a young American woman named Lucy (Johansson) is forced to work as a drug mule for a powerful Korean cartel. A synthetic drug called CPH4 accidentally leaks into her system, causing her to gradually unlock 100% of her brain's capacity. As her cognitive abilities expand—granting her telekinesis, time manipulation, and absorption of information—she becomes increasingly detached from her humanity. She contacts Professor Norman (Freeman), a neuroscientist who has studied brain potential, to understand her transformation.
