List — Fanuc Parameter

1. Introduction: What Are FANUC Parameters? FANUC parameters are a set of thousands of numerical settings stored in the CNC's non-volatile memory (SRAM). They define how the CNC control behaves, interfaces with the machine tool, and interprets G-code commands. Think of them as the "operating system settings" or "firmware configuration" for the FANUC controller (e.g., 0i, 31i, 30i, 32i, 18i series).

Unlike PLC (PMC) ladder logic, which handles discrete I/O (e.g., buttons, relays, lights), parameters configure the core motion control, axis configuration, digital servo tuning, and high-level functional options. Changing parameters incorrectly can cause machine crashes, loss of position, servo oscillations, or complete inoperability. Always back up parameters before editing. 2. Structure & Numbering System FANUC parameters are organized into numbered groups, typically ranging from 0 to 19999 , though the exact range depends on the control model and options. fanuc parameter list
