But in November 2021 (and solidified by their grand return in 2023), the portal reopened. The Upside Down came back.
It has been one of the wildest roller coasters in Dead by Daylight history.
So, if you see a Demogorgon shredding through your loop, or a Steve taking a protection hit for no reason—just nod your head. They are the survivors of the Upside Down.
As of recent patches, Hawkins has been reintegrated! It’s darker, slightly balanced (fewer god pallets), but the nostalgia is real. The portal sound design is still terrifying. Is It Worth Buying in 2024/2025? Absolutely.
