This isn't a metaphor. The game literally presents you with a mini-game where you use a cursor to… interact with a chibi version of the girl. You pat their heads. You "tickle" them. You "scold" them with a whip. The screen flashes, the girls moan, and suddenly their special attack unlocks.

The dungeons are cleverly designed, with environmental puzzles and "time-limited" choices that force you to think on your feet. The battle system, once you unlock combos, is legitimately tactical.
