It was 7:00 AM on a Saturday, and Priya’s phone buzzed with a reminder she had set two weeks ago: “Call A1 Moving Truck Hire – confirm booking.”
“It’s diesel. Bring it back with at least a quarter tank, or we charge £25. Also, check for damage before you drive off. Any scratches not listed on the form, you’ll be liable for.”

“Great. Our smallest truck is a 3.5-tonne Luton van. It’s £45 for the first four hours, then £10 per hour after. Plus a refundable deposit of £200.”
“Yes, full UK licence.”

There was a pause. Keyboard clacking. “Saturday is busy… Let’s see. I have one returning at 9:30 AM. But you’d need to collect it from our depot on Miller Road, not the High Street branch.”
